McDonald’s in Australia is inviting young people to apply for jobs in restaurants using Snapchat.
The brand created a Snapchat Lens that portrays users as McDonald’s staff members and asks them to record a ten-second video explaining why they want a job and what makes them different. They then send this video, called a Snapplication, to the brand's Snapchat account.
The company then replies with links to the formal application process. McDonalds is promoting this lens through ads on Snapchat and is asking users for permission to use the videos they create for the brand's own marketing in the app.
