Royal Jordanian Airlines' online response to Donald Trump grew sales by 50%

Responding to Donald Trump's speech, as a candidate in 2016, proposing a ban on Muslims entering America, Royal Jordanian Airlines ran a sarcastic online campaign encouraging Jordanians to buy tickets while they still could, "just in case he wins". 

The promotional ticket offer ran until the end of March 2017 and the airline has revealed just how successful the campaign was. Flight bookings to the US increased by 50%, traffic to the brand's website grew by 300% and the online ad went viral, reaching 450 million people, without paid promotion, on social media.
